Hala Restaurant
Gamra Mountain Resort by Mantis’s all-day dining restaurant brings the flavours of Al Baha into the day, with local ingredients and a setting shaped by the surrounding landscape.
The region’s agricultural character finds its way to the table through ingredients such as Al Baha honey and olive oil. Familiar flavours carry a connection to the land and the people who cultivate it.
Come together over breakfast, pause for lunch, or settle into an evening meal. A table to return to, throughout your time at Gamra.
Grown in Al Baha
Across Al Baha’s mountains and valleys, beekeepers follow the flowering seasons, continuing a practice passed down through generations. The honey varies with the plants the bees visit, giving each season its own flavour. Sweetness that begins in nature and holds a little of the region’s memory.
Pomegranate season brings a different colour to Al Baha’s orchards. Each fruit takes time and care to grow, opening to reveal seeds that balance sweetness with a refreshing tang. A harvest celebrated locally, its flavour closely tied to the time of picking.
Olives have their place among Al Baha’s crops, with a story that begins in tending the trees, then gathering and pressing the fruit. From olives at the table to olive oil shared with bread, their pleasure lies in simplicity: a few elements that give the flavour room to speak.
On the terraces of Upper and Lower Shada, farmers tend coffee trees in a tradition reaching back hundreds of years. The fruit is picked and dried before roasting and brewing begin. Each cup of Shadawi coffee carries a story of the mountain, its farmers’ patience and the warmth of hospitality.
